Residents interested in serving their community as an elected school trustee are invited to attend an upcoming Trustee Information Session designed to provide an overview of the role, responsibilities and opportunities associated with school board governance in British Columbia.
The session will offer prospective candidates valuable information as they consider running in the next municipal and school trustee elections. Participants will learn about the governance role of school boards, the responsibilities of trustees, the time commitment involved, and the impact trustees have on student success and public education in their communities.
This event is open to all members of the public who are actively considering candidacy. Each session will contain the same presentation, so you may attend either.
